Described as “radiant” by The Arts Desk, Caroline Bourg is a London based soprano, originally from Chicago. She is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she completed her Master’s Degree with a Concert Recital Diploma in 2023. At Guildhall, she has performed excerpted roles such as Gretel in Hansel und Gretel, Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, Despina in Così fan tutte, Poppea in Agrippina, and Noémie in Cendrillon. In October 2022 she performed in collaboration with the BBC for their Total Immersion Concert, highlighting the music of Jean Sibelius. In June 2023, she performed at Wigmore Hall for Anne Sofie von Otter in masterclass. In April 2024, she performed in the Oxford International Festival of Song, presenting different settings of Rainer Maria Rilke, and will be returning to the festival in October 2024.

In 2020, she completed her undergraduate degree at Boston University. While at BU, she performed as the Young Vixen in Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, a production in collaboration with the Glimmerglass Festival. She also was the winner of the Carnegie Hall Competition, granting her a performance in Carnegie’s Zankel Hall.

An avid lover of art song, Caroline regularly performs in a recital setting and has attended both the Ravinia Steans Music Institute and Songfest Institute. Passionate about various styles of repertoire, Caroline also enjoys singing music from that of the Great American Songbook. She is a recipient of the Joséphine Baker Trust.
